1st Validation Workshop of the AILEEN Project

Validation Workshop: Discussing an European Training Framework in Advanced Manufacturing for Aerospace and Defence Industries.

The event aims to present and discuss a proposal of European Training Framework for Advanced Manufacturing in Aerospace and Defence, designed to address the growing demand for high-quality, flexible education within these sectors.

The workshop will be organised into three parts:

  • Part 1 - Overview about the Aerospace and Defence Sectors, in terms of: challenges, opportunities and trends, industrial standards, specific Additive Manufacturing and Welding Applications for those sectors.
  • Part 2 - Overview about AILEEN results, including the developed training framework. In addition, there will be roundtables interactions, where the objective is to discuss in more detail the structure and content of the training programmes in specific fields, namely: Welding and Brazing, Inspection for Aerospace and Defence; Additive Manufacturing quality and Advanced digital technologies.
  • Part 3 – Networking and Visit to IPH Hannover

    • By joining the event you can take part of the discussion, network with experts from Aerospace and Defence, and visit IPH labs.

    Participants will be mostly industrial and education organisations from Germany, as well as our project partners (PRI, MTC, Turkish Aerospace; Censec; Asturias Defence Hub, Meltio, Fraunhofer FIT, among others).
