The AILEEN consortium met in Viborg, Denmark, to assess project progress and plan
future activities. The three-day seminar, from 17th to 19th September, hosted by
Mercantec, featured in-depth discussions on work packages, including achievements,
upcoming deliverables and opportunities for improvement.
As the project has reached 16th months, partners engaged in multiple brainstorming
sessions to discuss to shift from the preparation phase into the real implementation
phase. The outcomes of the sessions lead to the development of new ideas for
training materials and identify best practices in advanced manufacturing, as well as
solutions to establish a common communication strategy and nomination of new COVEs.
Beyond discussions and collaborative problem-solving, the consortium also had the
opportunity to tour Mercantec's facilities and gain insights into their daily
operations. Wednesday evening included a social dinner, fostering stronger
relationships among participants — networking remains a key priority for the
consortium.
Partners concluded the meeting with a focus on project management and coordination,
ensuring a smooth transition into the next phase. The next transnational project
meeting will be hosted by IPH in Hannover; Germany, in the spring.
