EACP Webinar: Shaping Aerospace Skills for Tomorrow

On the 3rd June, AILEEN project took centre stage at the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP) Webinar Series, "On the Runway to Tomorrow’s Aerospace Talents” with a dedicated presentation about “The European Perspective on Skills Development for the Aerospace Sector." The EACP, a network of 44 aerospace clusters from 18 European countries, organized the event, which attracted 25 participants.

Moderated by Carlos Maio from QSR Portugal, the webinar provided a vital platform to share cutting-edge insights. Nicolas Gros, General Director at Aérométiers, offered a comprehensive overview of the French aerospace skills and employment market, detailing national workforce and recruitment challenges. While , Adelaide Almeida, Education Projects Divisioner at EWF) provided an in-depth overview of the current needs and demands in the European aerospace sector. She also shared crucial cross-sector insights drawn from the significant findings of the AILEEN Project on advanced manufacturing skills, alongside experiences from other EWF-led initiatives.

Discussions also highlighted recent advancements in education and collaborative efforts underway at the European level to address future talent needs. AILEEN's participation underscored its role in driving vocational excellence and contributing to the strategic development of a skilled aerospace workforce across Europe
