In late March 2026, ISQ successfully delivered a high-impact series
of online Competence Units (CUs) specifically tailored for the Portuguese
Air Force. Reaching 37 military engineers, technical staff, and
operational personnel, these specialized pilots provided deep technical
knowledge directly applicable to high-stakes aeronautical
activities:
• CU AAM_01 – Qualification, Certification and Standards for
AM: Delivered on March 26, this 4-hour pilot trained 13
participants on navigating the complex certification processes,
quality systems, and regulatory standards for AM. Participants praised
the content's immediate applicability to real-world conformity
challenges.
• CU AAM_02 – Quality Assurance & Quality Control:
Delivered on March 25, this 7-hour session engaged 13
participants in mastering quality management systems, rigorous
process control, and advanced traceability. The strong alignment with
daily operational quality challenges was highlighted as a core success
factor.
• CU AI_01 – Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in AM for Metals
and Polymers: Delivered on March 24 to 11 participants, this
7-hour course explored advanced inspection strategies, defect
classification, and cutting-edge techniques such as ultrasonics and
X-ray computed tomography.
The implementation of ISQ's pilots provided a crucial bridge between
theoretical training and real-world application. By gathering direct,
real-world feedback from active defence industry professionals and
Portuguese Air Force delegates, AILEEN validated its core commitment to
Data-Driven Curriculum Optimization. Insights collected from military
specialists and technical teams ensure that course materials remain
highly relevant, directly address modern conformity and quality
challenges, and stay continuously responsive to current industrial and
military needs.
