Hannover Messe & Future-oriented training in Additive Manufacturing

Representing LAK at the fair's CAE Forum, Yvonne Johannsen presented “Europäische Ansätze für Aus- und Weiterbildung in der Additiven Fertigung”. She highlighted how unified standards, aligned qualification approaches, and cross-border partnerships are essential for building a skilled European workforce.

Using the AILEEN project as a primary model, the session showcased how European collaboration addresses evolving industrial needs:
• Bridging the Knowledge Triangle: Connecting education, research, and industry to directly tackle skills gaps in advanced manufacturing across aerospace and defence.
• Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs): Leveraging regional and European hubs to foster innovation and deliver tailored training (EQF Levels 4–7).
• Harmonized Standards & Impact: Aligning course pilots, staff mobilities, and skills leagues with international frameworks to ensure portable, industry-ready capabilities.

Through strategic initiatives like AILEEN and the IAMQS (International Additive Manufacturing Qualification System), LAK remains committed to shaping high-quality, future-oriented training solutions alongside our industry partners.
